  • We will ask you for the name and surname of the deceased, the location of the body, and the height and weight of your spouse. We will estimate the costs related to the transport of the body and completing the formalities.
  • If you accept the costs, we will ask you to fill out the necessary authorizations and applications, which will allow us to efficiently handle all formalities and bring your spouse to Germany. In most cases, we will need scanned copies of the authorizations. However, due to some authorities, we may require original documents.
  • Stay calm. From the moment you submit the authorizations, we immediately undertake all necessary formal actions – we contact the hospital or place where your spouse’s body is located, schedule appointments with all authorities who can issue the necessary documents for transporting the body, prepare the death certificate, apply for all transport permits, and coordinate the details of the funeral ceremony with you.
  • If your spouse died in a car accident, we will ask if you want to use our legal assistance to obtain compensation.
  • If you meet the formal requirements, within 12 months of the funeral you can apply for a funeral allowance from the Social Insurance Institution.
